Creating High Precision, Deviation-free Products
Dongkuk Steel was the first Korean mill to produce heavy steel plates.
By using a two stand, with a roughing mill and a finishing mill, 4 high
reversing rolling with high precision process, plates are produced with
virtually no quality deviations.
The 2 plate mill plants located in Pohang have a combined production
capacity of 2.5 million tons per annum, producing plates from 6 to 120
mm in thickness, and from 1,200 to 4,100 mm in width, in various steel
grades. As a pioneer in the Korean plate production, Dongkuk is world
renowned for high quality of its products. Presently, all the major shipbuilding
steel certifications have been obtained such as KR, ABS, NK, BS, GL, LR,
DNV.
Currently, Dongkuk's products have attained a customer satisfaction level
of 98%, and soon, 100% level of customer satisfaction will be attained
with diligent effort, constantly striving for excellence in quality and
service.
